"I've always heard good things about Ayurveda but never really got
a chance to study deep into it until I found this book. I am
inspired by how foods can serve as medicine to treat different
health concerns so that we don't have to visit the doctors! For
example, from time to time, I have constipation and I suffer from
eczema these years. I am glad to see some natural remedies that can
help treat my concerns.
Besides, the recipes recommended in this book are all new and
refreshing ideas to me. I love the recipes like "Almond Meal" and
"Pitta Breakfast".
Last but not least, James brings up the topic that Ayurveda is not
just about food. Rather, it is also about living a holistic
lifestyle as well. For example, besides paying attention to what we
eat, we should also pay attention to the quality of our sleep,
having a proper amount of exercise, and how to take care of our
emotions to relieve stress.
Overall, I think James really has done a great job by introducing
the concept of Ayurveda to a newbie like me. This book is highly
