Peter Monteath is Professor of History at Flinders
University in Adelaide. His best-known books are POW: Australian
Prisoners of War in Hitler’s Reich (Macmillan 2011), and, most
recently, Escape Artist: The Incredible Second World War of Johnny
Peck.
