Be Refreshed is what we need. It is a drink of cool water to
those who are parched and weary. More importantly, it is an
opportunity to pause our busy lives and come before the King of
Kings. Let Him speak life to you each day.
--Shaunti Feldhahn, social researcher and best-selling author of
For Women Only
Growing up, my father put a sticker on every mirror in our home
that read, "Happiness is a habit, today is the happiest day of my
life, I'm God's greatest miracle." As a little girl, these words
gave me confidence to face each day. As a woman, I get my strength
from attending daily mass and reading the Bible and daily
devotionals. Be Refreshed will be added to my daily
ritual.

Be Refreshed: Devotions for Women in the Workplace provides a daily
God-centered time to help you through life's challenges, especially
as a working woman of faith. I love the practical but very
meaningful tips that quickly get to the core of what we all
typically struggle through: e.g., anxiety, hectic schedules,
leading others, ambition, worries, and balancing work and family.
Turning to Be Refreshed, with its inspirational Scripture and
reflections, has helped ground me in God's loving presence each
day.

Christian women today are running businesses, leading
nonprofits, raising children, volunteering at church, and serving
as devoted wives and friends. I have no doubt God is using these
women powerfully for his purposes. But all this easily brings with
it exhaustion and depletion--which is why this deep yet digestible
devotional from Diane Paddison is a key resource for today's
professional women. Short daily reflections from a variety of
leaders are a great way to start each busy day.

As the founder of Sseko Designs, my work is not just my day job.
The Lord is inviting me to be a co-creator of a brighter and more
just world. I am so grateful for Be Refreshed because it recognizes
and validates women who are pursuing their calling in the
workplace. I am refreshed and energized by the voices of women I
deeply admire for using their gifts, passions, and skills to bring
light and restoration in the world for their daily work. For many
of us, following Jesus means saying yes to the marketplace, and I
am so grateful for resources that help us stay grounded and
energized in Jesus' love while we pursue our vocations.

Refreshed: Devotions for Women in the Workplace is a glimpse
into the heart of everyday women who are living full lives and
caring for their families, work, and communities while putting God
first. These devotions are their moments, stories, and history with
God. They show how Scripture has been an anchor and foundation in
the midst of juggling what can sometimes be just too much. Be
Refreshed is a fresh wind in your sails, steering you to
connect with God and live the full life you are so beautifully
called to!
--Laura Stafford, Designer for Joanna Gaines at Magnolia
Along with inspirational reflections to spur you on as you head
for work, Be Refreshed contains an added bonus--the welcome
reminder coming from the collective voices in this book that you
are not alone. You belong to a growing company of women God is
calling to serve Him in the workplace. Be refreshed!
