About the Author

Sheila Root is a beading artist and was in the bead business for twenty years. She has taught hundreds of students in seed bead techniques and basic and advanced stringing techniques as well as wire techniques. A former university professor with degrees in design and a certificate in Master Jewelry, she has been designing and selling "wearable art" for many years. Sheila also has a background in textile arts and participated in many gallery exhibitions, both as a group show and as featured artist, and placed in national competition. She has written several other books including several ornament books and a series of peyote stitch books.
