Author Brooklyn Elaine's love affair with writing started in 7th grade in a creative writing class. She has been writing poetry ever since. She penned Beautifully Tragic as a way to introduce herself to the writing community. The book was written from the perspective of a character in an upcoming novel she wrote. Brooklyn is widely known as an online art promoter with her Facebook blog Art Allure, where she strives to bring art back into the conversation. When she's not keeping an ear to the world of art she works as a freelance artist. Completely self-taught most of her art features bold colors and symbolic imagery connected to her own world experience. Brooklyn, having grown up in Northern Michigan, is inspired by her natural surroundings and all the beauty it holds. She continues to reside in Northern Michigan with her family, where she enjoys spending time on the water and being outdoors. Brooklyn reminds us all that inspiration can be found everywhere, you just need to slow down long enough to take notice.
