Reviews

This elegant work of literary analysis could almost be said to offer a stealthy justification for continuing to consult the work of the dead... a delicate dismantling of what we thought the past was for. Tambling writes a careful polemic about the temptations and difficulties of teaching the past...strongly recommended.
