Lifelong naturalists, CAMPBELL and LYNN LOUGHMILLER explored and photographed the Big Thicket for nine years. FRANCIS E. ABERNETHY, who wrote the foreword, is the author or editor of Tales from the Big Thicket and more than twenty Texas Folklore Society Publications (University of North Texas Press).
