In the near future, where aliens walk undetected amidst humans, a high school senior accidentally discovers an undercover A.I.R. (Alien Investigation and Removal) operation putting several of its agents at risk. Rather than wipe her memory, they place her in a secret boot camp, where she must learn to overcome her fears and insecurities to battle - and kill - the elusive enemy...that is, if the enemy doesn't kill her first. Combining two of the hottest and fastest-growing genres today - young adult fiction and paranormal plots - this new series is reminiscent of Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and the perennial favourite Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Blacklisted is one of those teen books that starts you off with a normal teenager who suddenly ends up in a bizarre situation, much like in All-American Girl by Meg Cabot. In this novel, Camille Robins with her best friend, Shanel Stacy, sneak into a nightclub and they end up getting a little attached to two boys whom they have just met—Erik and Silver. While at the nightclub, Camille and Shanel get involved with the Alien Investigation and Removal team! It is a very strange twist, especially when one of the boys is an alien.
This was a really interesting book because there’s a part in the story where Camille has the opportunity to hand Erik and Silver in to the Alien Investigation and Removal team but then she decides not to because “sometimes good people have to do bad things.” I think this was a big change in Camille’s character because she actually did something that she thought was right instead of just doing things that she wanted to do.
