Mark I. Brislin has been living in the longest village in Europe September 1999, which he often refers to as 'the centre of the Universe'. He is married (Conny is his wife's name and she is German) and has two children Raphael Harry (now aged 11) and Sophia Felicia (now aged 9). He lectures in the English language at Freiberg University, which is situated near to the border of the Czech Republic. He has a BSc (Honours) degree in Environmental Science and an MBA, but prefers writing and comedy to science and business. He likes to write poetry and short stories for both children and adults (which are older children). In the winter he loves to go skiing in the nearby ski slopes of the Erzgebirge. Like 'Blade', the hybrid Unicorn/Pegasus horse from his book, 'Blacksmith to the Stars', he also doesn't like needles or eating red cabbage either.
