Andy Chico Davis I am the son of a sharecropper who will never forget the cotton fields back home. I developed a thirst for knowledge and love of reading from my mother. Though she was sentenced to just a third-grade education, her teachings surpassed that of some of the worlds greatest scholars. From an early age and throughout my career as a teacher and athletic coach, I found myself enamored with doctrines of philosophy. From this enamoration, I built my own cache of quotations and sayings that often lifted me out of depths of despair. The Book of Sty is a culmination of a lifelong dream of mine to share a few of them with others. Quotations and country rhymes were at times my only armors against the arrows of poverty and prejudice. Though I am now a septuagenerian, I truly believe I have many years left if I can just convert to being a nomadic metaphor. Become a metaphor, and reincarnation will be within your grasp.
