About the Author

Ashley Mallett's cricket ambition was to take 100 Test wickets, a feat he achieved in his twenty-third Test for Australia, and one shared with Shane Warne and Graham McKenzie. During Ian Chappell's reign as Test captain, Ashely became a complete bowler and is generally regarded as Australia's best exponent of spin bowling. He provided Chappelli with a reliable and steady foil at one end to the likes of Lillee and Thomson during the famous 1973-Ashes series. Ashley now runs Spin Australia, an international spin bowling coaching program, and works regularly with the likes of Australia's Dan Cullen, England's Gareth Batty and New Zealand's Daniel Vettori. He is also author of twenty-three books.
