Single mum Emma and her daughter Lola enjoy exploring the world
together and Clancy Goes To France is a story about one of their
most inspiring yet challenging journeys. The mother and daughter
duo take on a challenge to drive 3,000 miles in a classic car with
1 Million KM on the clock having learned the news Emma's father had
decided to sell his beloved Peugeots owing to a deterioration of
his multiple sclerosis and the onset of prostate cancer. The news
of his decision was numbing for Emma and feeling somewhat helpless
she decided to take one of her father's cars, Clancy, to France to
raise money for MS and to be able to share her journey with him in
a memoir.
She decided to publish the story to further raise awareness and
funds for MS and sales of the book contribute to her fundraising
efforts on an ongoing basis.
Clancy Goes to France is a great book for those who enjoy travel
and appreciate the fragility of life. We find that the innocence of
childhood is captured beautifully where Emma writes from the heart
about three year old Lola and being a single parent.
This book is a combination of a France travel memoir and an
emotional journey and you are left knowing that for Emma, there
simply is nothing more important than her loved ones and the time
we have with with them. An inspirational story of a mother pushing
through emotional and physical challenges to achieve a dream.
