About the Author

Martin Thaddeus was born in Crawley in 1959, one of nine children. Upon leaving art college, Martin worked as a graphic artist to a local paper, but surgery to his wrist prompted a change of direction, and he retrained in panel-beating. _x000B_After 10 years in crash repair and salvage, Martin chose to specialise in classic restoration, which appealed more to his creative nature. _x000B_Customers have always been welcome in Martin's workshop, and many have got their hands dirty under his watchful eye. _x000B_Married with three grown up children, Martin recently lost a kidney, while his wife Elaine gained one!

Car electrics are something of a dark art, if you'll forgive the pun. Even those of us only too happy to attempt body or mechanical work sometimes falter at the prospect of all those little lengths of coloured spaghetti, with their potential for shocks and fires if incorrectly connected.
