About the Author

Silvena Johan Lauta (also known as Silvena Rowe) is an expert in the cuisines of Eastern and Central Europe. She is the chef patron at the Quince at The May Fair, a prestigious London restaurant. Silvena has published a number of books including The Food and Cooking of Romania and Bulgaria, and The Food and Cooking of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (both Aquamarine), Feasts: Food for Sharing from Central and Eastern Europe (Mitchell Beazley), and Purple Citrus and Sweet Perfume (Hutchinson).
