Deacon Pat Kearns lives with his wife, Liz, in western Idaho. They have three grown children. Deacon Pat is a U.S. Navy/Marine veteran, an ordained Catholic cleric, and a psychiatric nurse. He is also the founder of the Family Mission Project, and Catholic Men-In-Motion retreats. Deacon Pat and Liz have also lived in the mountains of Guatemala and served as full-time Catholic missionaries where they developed nutritional and health care programs for the local Mayan people. Deacon Pat walked the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain in 2017 with his brother Tim. As an author of numerous novels, spiritual guides, and children's books, Deacon Pat uses his life experiences, as well as his imagination, to create wonderful stories grounded in the faith. He has become a popular novelist due to his easy-to-read writing style, thrilling adventures, relatable and life-like characters, and for the messages of hope, redemption, love, forgiveness, and joy, that so many of the stories possess.
