Richard Andrews is professor emeritus of Italian at Leeds
University. He is the author of Scripts and Scenarios: The
performance of comedy in Renaissance Italy (1993) and A Theatre of
Community Memory: Tuscan Sharecropping and the Teatro Povero di
Monticchiello (1998).
