PR campaign to include coverage in SFX magazine, interviews, signings and a tie-in with the launch of the new UFO BIu-ray box set. Two launches, one at London's Cinema Museum and another at a special event organised by Fanderson, the official Gerry Anderson Appreciation Society. Gerry Anderson is best known for Thunderbirds, but many fans regard UFO to be his greatest television series. This deluxe, full-colour hardback edition is aimed at those collectors. The publication of this edition will coincide with the first release of UFO on high definition Blu-ray. The digitally restored box set is scheduled for release in October. The book is fully authorised, and this edition is the first to include numerous rare and previously unseen images from the ITV archive. The Complete Book of Gerry Anderson's UFO is now back in print for the first time since 2006. Used paperback editions are highly sought after, and are currently priced between GBP495 an GBP761 on Amazon.
A former chairman of Fanderson, the official Gerry Anderson Appreciation Society, Chris Bentley was a friend and colleague of the UFO creator for many years. He is the author of The Complete Book of Thunderbirds (2000), The Complete Book of Captain Scarlet (2001) and The Complete Gerry Anderson: The Authorised Episode Guide (2005). Since the original publication of the UFO book in 2003, Chris' ongoing research has revealed new information which will appear in this edition for the first time. Widely recognised as one of the UK's leading television historians, in recent years Chris has become a regular contributor to the official Doctor Who Magazine.
