Excerpt from Constitution of the Indian Youth Congress (d) to promote opportunities for the youth to organise sports, physical culture clubs and other cultural and recreational activities; (e) to assist the Indian National Congress to combat communalism and social and caste orthodoxy and to carry on constructive and social work; and (f) to organise work squads and touring parties to tour the rural and urban areas of the country and to encourage youth to cooperate with farm and factory labour and to take up such all other activities that are relevant and incidental to the objects of the Youth Congress. Article III Definitions For the purpose of this constitution the following terms are mean: Youth Congress Unless otherwise stated the words 'Youth Congress' shall mean the Indian Youth Congress. The President: The President of the Indian Youth Congress who shall also be the President of the National Council. The Secretary or Secretaries: Secretary or Secretaries of the Indian Youth Congress, who shall also be Secretary or Secretaries of the Youth Department of the AICC. The Treasurer: The Treasurer of the Indian Youth Congress. National Council: The National Council of the Youth Congress. Funds: Funds of the Youth Congress.
