About the Author

The poet was born and raised in Montana, educated where the ivy is greenest, and served his country in foreign climes such as the West coast and Japan. He made his living as a mechanic and carpenter, after settling temporarily for four decades in Philadelphia. He has seen the inside of a number of jails and churches, has had one wife, six children and more than a dozen grandchildren. He likes foraging in the wild, wood-turning, and spending time each year in Belize. Though he causes trouble, he is usually polite about it.
