About the Author

From sea to shining sea! For 16 years I've taught high school mathematics at schools from North Carolina to California. Teaching to ESL learners at a Spanish international school helped me make my materials multi-culturally accessible. Teaching English in Portugal enriched my writing. Guiding rock climbing and coaching surfing enlivened my word problems. A lot of my own adventures inspired the lessons I created. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
