About the Author

About Ilene Ilene Baranowitz's degree in art education exposed her to a vast assortment of crafts, every one of which she enthusiastically embraces to this day. She began experimenting with quilting when she was pregnant and made baby quilts. Even though she hasn't done any quilting since then, a love of color and patterns has stayed with her to this day. Over the years, calligraphy and graphic design played a major role in Ilene's artistic endeavors. However, beading and jewelry-making soon became a part of her crafting repertoire. Ilene created a commercial product called Faux Dichro (imitation fused glass), which won 2 industry awards. Another of her innovations the Beading Station, was created several years ago and is still going through the creative process. Ilene is the author of Create You Own Bling, published by Krause Publications. She recreated several vintage books for children and an epic poem about the Titanic, all of which are published on Kindle and can be found by searching Ilene Baranowitz on Amazon. Ilene's first forays into coloring books for grownups, Creative Quilt Coloring, Volumes 1 & 2, and The Special Edition, have given her a new calling that she has enthusiastically turned into the main emphasis of her career. Creative Chinese Lattice Coloring is the first coloring book for adults in the Traditions of the World series. Ilene has several more coloring books in the works including the very exciting grayscale coloring books.
