- Myriam Gurba's writing has appeared in numerous anthologies including Best American Erotica (St. Martin's), Bottom's Up (Soft Skull), Secrets and Confidences (Seal), and Tough Girls (Black Books). - Gurba's writing has also appeared in nationally-distributed lesbian magazines, including On Our Backs. - Gurba is well-known in the spoken word scene and will be doing many readings to support the book, both in traditional venues (bookstores, colleges) and other settings (nightclubs, etc.)

A graduate of UC Berkekley, Gurba is currently a high school teacher living in Long Beach, California, home of Snoop Dogg and the Queen Mary.
