"A compassionate appraisal of the tragedy that shattered the family
of Adolph (Ad) Coors III, when the 44-year-old chairman of the
board of the Colorado beer company died during a botched kidnapping
. . . forensic details, like the use of fingerprint analysis and
dental records, should please techno-wonks--as should the fact that
the case was solved by identifying varieties of paper stock and
models of typewriters." --New York Times Book Review
"In 1960 the kidnapping of "Ad" Coors III set off one of the
biggest manhunts in American criminal history. Jett, a former
corporate attorney, brings this sad chapter in the Coors family
archives to vivid life here, complete with crackling dialogue and a
colorful cast of real-life characters, including the kidnapper
himself . . . a suspenseful true-crime narrative that reads like an
edge-of-the-seat detective story." --Booklist "Jett's amazing
research and captivating narrative tell a remarkable Coors family
story, occasionally whispered about during my time at Coors. An
incredible and tragic story, brilliantly told." --Ralph Hargrow,
former Chief Global People Officer, Molson Coors Brewing Company,
Denver, CO
