Marcie Nordlund is currently an elementary school principal in a Chicago suburb. Previously, she has been a special education administrator, public speaker, college instructor, and a classroom teacher in both regular and special education.
Very informative...a useful addition to a collection relating to
differentiation, adaptations, and modifications for children with
learning problems. Recommended.
*CHOICE*
This book is very timely, given that schools and classrooms include
a wide spectrum of learning styles and abilities and are
increasingly diverse in terms of educationally disadvantaged
students, students with language and cultural differences, and
various other 'at-risk' factors. Couple that with accountability of
No Child Left Behind and the content of Nordlund's book becomes
pretty significant. The book is written primarily for classroom
teachers, but is essential reading for principals in their roles as
instructional leaders....comprehensible, practical, and very
readable.
