About the Author

Noel Campbell was born in 1928 in Aberdeen, Washington to Christian parents. He graduated from high school in Cottage Grove, Oregon and worked in the logging industry before attending college where he received a degree in pharmacy from Oregon State College. Noel married Marty in September 1951 and they had six children, three sons and three daughters. Marty went to be with the Lord 17 years later in 1968. Noel was a pharmacist for 25 years and a part-time youth pastor to hundreds of teens who met in the family home. He also mentored six men who became pastors. Noel became a full-time pastor in 1973 and has served at churches in Washington, Oregon and Hawaii. In 2000, he began teaching discipleship classes at Life Center Church in Spokane, Washington. He lives with his daughter and son-in-law, the senior pastor of Life Center, a Foursquare church of 4,000 attendees. Linda Hanke is a freelance writer and social worker. After receiving her Masters in Social Work Degree in 1980, she has worked with young women, providing support in life decisions and parenting their young children. She directed a maternity home in a Crisis Pregnancy Center for six years and worked for several foster care and adoption agencies, placing children in loving Christian homes. She lives in Spokane, Washington, has two grown children and four grandchildren. She has written several articles for Christian magazines, newspapers and Closer to God, True Stories of Answers to Prayer, a Guideposts publication.
