If you have already met a young lady called Autumn, and her fluffy
little dog, Chrissy, you'll look forward to following them with
another murder investigation. If not, you are in for a pleasant
surprise, and this story stands perfectly well alone. The little
town of Knollwood is the location of several murders. It helps that
the principal investigator has the police detective in love with
her. Any book worth remembering has lessons under the surface. I
approve of these ones. They are mostly about human nature, and the
way good people treat each other. Read, and find out what I
mean.
-- Bob Rich, PhD, author of Ascending SpiralWhat a fun and
captivating read! Diane delivers complex plot lines and a cast of
memorable characters passionate about their canine companions and
crime solving. A very original and satisfying story for mystery
fans. I could not put it down until the very end. An outstanding
read! The Dog-Eared Diary is the second installment in Diane
Wing's new series, but it stands alone as a solid page-turner. The
two and four-legged characters we first met in Attorney-At-Paw are
at it again, solving a decades-old missing persons case in a
charming Pennsylvania town. A fresh, original storyline with rich
historical overtones, surprising twists and turns, and characters
you will be very sad to say goodbye to. May there be many more
adventures with Chrissy! This would make a GREAT television series!
Someone, please call The Hallmark Channel!
-- Maxine Ashcraft, CaliforniaI have read several of Ms. Wing's
books and as always she keeps me guessing till the end when all is
revealed. I have fallen in love with Chrissy and Autumn and their
continuing journey to health while finding themselves in the middle
of a murder mystery adventure. My pre-teen daughter and I enjoyed
reading The Dog-Eared Diary and then discussing the clues, plot
twists and characters. I am looking forward to the next installment
of Chrissy and Autumn's adventures!
-- Antoinette Brickhaus, Maryland Loved this book! The second of
the Chrissy the shih tzu mysteries tells the story of how a secret
changes Autumn Clarke's life forever and how Autumn and Chrissy
investigate the unexpected death of a prominent town member. We are
reintroduced to Ray, Autumn's love interest, his ex-police dog,
Ace, and several of Autumn and Chrissy's friends. A fun and
engaging read! Looking forward to Book Three!!
-- Terri Chalmers, New JerseyI love the world of The Dog-Eared
Diary because we get many plot twists in a matter of pages. From
thinking we have the culprit but then, plot twist, we are again
searching for clues as to who the real criminal is. People of all
ages will enjoy this book for sure as it is a one of a kind!!
