Neal D. Barnard, MD, is an adjunct associate professor of medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine and president of the nonprofit Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Dr. Barnard is the author of numerous books, including Breaking the Food Seduction, Turn Off the Fat Genes, and Foods That Fight Pain. His scientific articles have appeared in prestigious journals such as Diabetes Care, the American Journal of Cardiology, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, and Scientific American. J. Charles has more than 40 years experience in professional theatre, radio, television, and film. His name is familiar to many Michigan and national audiences as a scenic and lighting designer, as well as a performer and director. Mr. Charles trained in theatre at Michigan State University and Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie-Mellon).
