Interest in natural ways to improve fertility is soaring. For many people, it feels time to take control of their health to give themselves the best chance to get their body baby-ready and increase their chances of getting pregnant. Zita West, midwife to the stars, knows that nutrition can make a huge difference to your fertility. In her first nutritional health cookbook, she explains how equipping your body with essential nutrients ensures that your reproductive system is prepared for a successful pregnancy. Part 1 of the book will show you how to assess your fertility. Next there is a detox plan to cleanse your body of chemicals that can prevent conception, and prepare your body; followed by a 10-week fertility-boosting programme. Zita ensures that the vital nutrients are all included: especially magnesium, zinc, selenium and manganese. She also includes notes for both men as well as women, and for those trying for a baby later in life, or with specific problems, such as PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids. Part 2 contains 80 mouth-watering recipes, all designed to be easily incorporated into a busy life. Try Indonesian Chicken with Buckwheat Noodles, Chilli-Glazed Salmon with Cucumber Lime Salad or Molasses Ginger Cookies. All delicious and all going a long way to help you to realise your dream of having a baby.

About the Author

Zita West, the UK's trusted expert on fertility, pregnancy and birth and a pioneer in the field of fertility, has been involved in fertility and pregnancy for over 25 years, as a midwife, a nutritional advisor, an acupuncturist and as an author and consultant. Over that time thousands of couples have come to her for advice on how to get into optimum shape for all the vital stages of childbirth. Zita is acknowledged as one of Europe's leading experts on how each of us can improve our prospects at each key stage of the reproductive process through natural means or, if necessary, through medical intervention. Zita was one of the first to offer acupuncture to pregnant women (back in the late Eighties) for symptoms such as morning sickness. She set up an NHS/alternative therapy clinic for pregnant women, in Warwick. But the "bureaucracy" of the NHS drove her away and eventually she set up her own, private fertility and pregnancy clinic. Twenty years on she employs 25 staff, including medical specialists, out of offices near Harley Street. She is the mother of two children.www.zitawest.com The author lives in UK.

Reviews

"Zita shows you how preparing for pregnancy and good nutrition is one of the most important investments you can make towards the health of your baby. I love to cook and the recipes in this book are great."- Kate Winslet "Fertility guru Zita West has helped some very A-list mamas over her 36-year career as a midwife, including Kate Winslet and Gwyneth Paltrow. Out of her central London clinic, West boosts chances of conception through medicine and also by improving her clients' overall health. And for those of us who can't afford her pricey private fees, the good news is that her new cookbook, Eat Yourself Pregnant, provides a snapshot of her philosophies as well as a comprehensive look at what you should eat - and avoid - to boost your fertility."- Metro (September 2, 2014)
