Charles Burns is considered one of the greats of the post underground generation of cartoonists, having made a name for himself in the pages of Art Spiegelman's RAW magazine. He is the author of Black Hole, the acknowledged masterpiece of the form that Fantagraphics serialised in the 1990s. He lives in Philadelphia with his family.
"I still think Burns is the best cartoonist in the world." - Lynda Barry"
