Illustrator/Designer - Jonas Sahlstrom. If you can say a man 'lives' his profession, that sums me up very well. 17 years old I started working at a printing company and, 36 years later, I have worked with most things in graphic design. Books, promotional materials, advertising, magazines, logos, booth design, web pages, illustrations, teacher of graphic arts and more.In recent years, my interest in illustration has increased. I love to illustrate and build my little worlds in 3D. This work has among other things resulted in the books for Extreme Pets.I hope you will think that the books are as fun to read as I had in making them. Enjoy! Please see my portfolio: sahlstrom.se/portfolio.html

Reviews

I liked the idea of extreme pets and I thought the ones you chose were really interesting. I had never heard of an axolotl until I read about it in your book. Another interesting thing was that you chose ... unusual pets and it felt like I was reading [2] books in one. I liked that you also had photos of each pet so I could see what they actually looked like. It is great to have extra information and the websites at the end of each section were really helpful to someone who wants to know more. If this were an e-book, the links would be active and a teacher could click on the link in their classroom to immediately show the students more about the pet. Audrey Campbell, Media Center Director at Rogers Adventist School, Richland/Kennewick/Pasco, Washington Area, Resource Librarian, North Pacific Union Conference; What a fascinating book, integrating fact with verse to create a wonderful cross-curricular resource for teachers. As for the students, curious little minds will engage with the unique and unusual subject matter! Adrienne T. O'Connell, B.A., Grad. Dip. Ed., taught children from indigenous classrooms in the outback to multicultural classrooms in the city.
