MAGGIE FOSTER is a seventh-generation Texan of Scottish descent who writes murder mysteries featuring the same. Her stories are drawn from her fevered imagination and her experiences as a nurse, lawyer, educator, and redhead. Her interests include history, genealogy, music, dance, travel, dark chocolate, good whisky, and men in kilts, not necessarily in that order. FUN FACTS: She earned a high school athletic letter in Highland Dancing, in Texas. [True!] She also played bagpipes (less successfully). She has taught Royal Scottish Country Dancing and has demonstrated both at the State Fair of Texas and on the stage at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. "I absolutely love the setting for this piece! You have nailed it." Judge, Writers League of Texas, Manuscript ContestFor anybody who loves a good mystery, I HIGHLY recommend this series and this book in particular! The concept in this book is my favorite so far! BONUS FUN-There is an element in here that seems completely implausible but is based on a true story. Mary H., Librarian and Writing BloggerI loved it! Plot and characterization: Masterful. I did not see the end coming at all. [It] brought to mind a modern day, and much more accessible, Brigadoon. An excellent and enjoyable read! Where do I get the previous books?
