About the Author

H.D.Knightley lives in Los Angeles. She's the mother of four children and is married to the surfer boy she fell in love with when she was a teenager. She is not a princess, does not know how to fly, and has never spent time enjoying the view on the edge of a dam. She does however love to bang her fist to loud punk rock and once upon a time sat on a beach in Bali eating greasy fish with her favorite guy. She wishes she could go to a party that has an inflatable floor someday. She also unequivocally believes that if you're between a rock and a hard place, look up, there's probably a rope ladder. She read the book, The Light Princess by George MacDonald aloud to her children last summer, and was inspired to write this book.
