About the Author

Julia Schettler is a Brandon, Manitoba writer who believes every child deserves a loving family. Julia and her husband have a blended, transracial family of ten children. Four of their sons were adopted from China and two spent their early years in foster care. Sarah Neville is a Winnipeg artist. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours from the University of Manitoba. Along with illustrating, she also creates oil paintings and fabric textile artwork. Local wildlife and dogs, including her husky, frequently appear in her work.
