About the Author

Carole Wright LaHue has loved animals all her life. Dogs and cats have been in her home since she was seven. They have all been strays or rescues. She got interested in the work of rescue organizations in her area when she adopted her first rescue dog from Columbia Second Chance in 2007. She especially liked giving older dogs a chance to enjoy a loving home in their senior years. In 2008 Carole started her own business, Pencil Portraits by Carole. Her love for kids and animals is reflected in most of her portrait work.
