About the Author

Dr Gibril Haddad is a well-known Lebanese-American scholar and religious leader. Schooled in England, he took his PhD at Columbia University in New York, before embarking on an intensive study of hadith and Islamic law and doctrine under leading authorities of the Middle East. The author of many books, he lives and teaches in Damascus, Syria.
