Adrianne Lobel grew up to be a noted set designer who also produced
the Broadway musical A Year with Frog and Toad. Adrianne's
discovery of several of her father's handmade books illustrated in
pen and ink for family and friends led to this new picture book. An
artist herself, Adrianne added color to prints of her father's line
art using watercolors and dyes. Adrianne lives with her daughter in
New York City.
