About the Author

Originally from upstate New York, Deborah Cuyle loves everything about small towns and their history. Her passions include local history, animals, museums, rock hunting, and horseback riding. She, her husband, and her son are currently remodeling a historic, crumbling mansion in Milbank, South Dakota, built in 1883.
