Though Dan Gudema aspired to be a writer as a kid, he was never able to fulfill his desire to be a published author till recently. Dan's goal has been to write a non-fiction book once a year and he has met that goal since 2014. Dan has worked as a corporate manager, programmer, entrepreneur and consultant. Dan is a fixture in the Start-Up community in South Florida and has worked for Bell Atlantic Mobile (now Verizon Wireless), ABC Distributing, NTT Corporation/Verio Inc., Office Depot and The Limited. In 2001 Dan co-founded and developed as a programmer Pre-Dating Speed Dating, which became the largest speed dating company in the US. Pre-Dating Speed Dating was sold to Cupid.com in 2004. Dan is the founder of StartupPOP, a Tech Startup Pitch Event which began in Boca Raton, FL. Originally from Parsippany, NJ, Dan moved to South Florida in 1997. Dan attended the University of Maryland in College Park for his BA and has an MBA from Florida Atlantic University. Dan has worked in a diverse set of roles from programmer to digital marketing director. Dan has been a startup consultant to a variety of web and mobile app companies building social networks, online hosting tools and other online tech. Dan has worked on Whois.net, the top website for Domain lookups and has an expertise in managing marketing databases, marketing automation and other marketing solutions. Dan has also authored 2 spec script screenplays and spent several years studying screenplay writing in New York City and Miami Beach.
