I am a cybersecurity engineer/ ethical hacker with two masters from Charles Sturt University. I am a cybersecurity journalist and a vocal advocate for a more open cybersecurity industry. I like to tell it like it is and say it in a way that can be understood by everyone, not just the technical folk. I don't like to be too serious and try to look at the positives in life.
Bradley Deacon Wow, like a good movie, I am always sceptical of the
second movie, and at times I find books to follow the same fate of
not hitting the mark with volume 2 or 3. Well, Craig once again
really has packaged up a great follow on book to A Hacker I Am
where he covers off on AI, children's smart watches, and how
security is everyone's business. Craig also touches on drones,
impostor syndrome (an important topic) and I know a lot of cyber
specialists that suffer from this. The book is also a good, easy
read in that you do not have to read it cover to cover, just go to
areas that you need a refresher, or if you want to learn more about
a specific topic. The chapters are short, sharp and well written
and you can feel confident all the general bases are covered to
give you a good understanding and a basic foundation to
cybersecurity. No matter what your experience, this is a must
read.
Shazin SohaniSince the publication of his first book, A Hacker, I
Am, Craig has dedicated himself to educating anyone by relating his
own story and experience.Having read the first Vol, I was very
excited to receive the second signed copy and i must say i was not
disappointed. Every chapter had a different twist, easy-to-read
format and topics one can relate to everyday day life scenarios. As
an experienced security consultant, i find myself referring back
his book on a regular basis to seek answers to different situations
within my role. Regardless of the experience level or industry, i
highly recommend reading this book - Totally worth It!
IfOnlyYouKnewPodcastLove love love this book! I ordered this book
while reading A Hacker, I Am as I really enjoyed the way it was
written, the language used and the fact that I could understand
what was being discussed despite having really limited knowledge of
the cyber world and cyber security industry. A Hacker, I Am Vol 2
did not disappoint and really I appreciated being able to learn
something completely new in such an engaging way without being made
to feel inferior or silly. This really is a book for everyone and I
hope Craig publishes further volumes because I am hooked! Thanks
for letting me into your world Craig!
Jon Suwannakoot: This is the second book after A Hacker, I am Vol
1. It is still interesting and I have been enjoying reading. It
makes me realise that cyber security is not only for IT people but
for everyone. Highly Recommended for everyone.
