Eric J. Safranek was born in the suburbs of Chicago in what was at that time the small city of Naperville, Illinois. A few years after graduating high school from Lake Zurich, Illinois, he caught the "travel bug" and never looked back. These travels allowed him to not only backpack throughout Australia, but to also live and work throughout the US in: San Diego, California; Phoenix, Arizona; Copper Mountain, Colorado; Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; Fort Lauderdale, Florida and St John, USVI. Thanks to working at Club Med resort villages off and on for over ten years, he was able to live, work and play in: The Bahamas; Turks and Caicos; Dominican Republic as well as three stints in Cancun, Mexico including one final season in 2008 where he finally met his wife, Paula who is from Venezuela. Eric and Paula currently reside in Orlando, Florida where they are planning their next adventure...destination: Europe!
