About the Author

Ayla Marika is a visual artist, illustrator and graphic designer based in the rural community of Collector, NSW, Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) from Curtin University of Technology and an Advanced Diploma of Public Relations from Canberra Institute of Technology. For the past decade, she has worked in administration, marketing and advertising for the education sector. Her interests include permaculture, implementing self-sufficiency strategies on her small hobby farm, music, cooking, brewing, plant medicine and food activism.
