I've been writing Billy Poems for more than 40 years. When I first started, I would quickly scribble down a poem as it came to me then later dutifully type it out in the standard poetic form. After a while, I realized that the original scribbles were much more interesting than the typed versions, so I began to explore representing poems graphically. This evolved into executing poems on canvas then even using multiple canvases (up to a dozen) for a single poem. Although I am an agnostic, my poems are basically intended for God's eyes because I figure He's the best judge. If anyone else likes any of them, that's pure gravy. Also, I feature God in many poems because it's nice to have Someone to yell at or complain to about the Cosmos. I have faith that He knows I'm just kidding (hopefully).
