Jeffrey S. Debies-Carl is associate professor of sociology in the Department of Psychology and Sociology at the University of New Haven. His work has appeared in a number of scholarly journals, such as the Journal of Contemporary Ethnography and the Journal of Folklore Research, and he is author of Punk Rock and the Politics of Place.
