Amy Friend is an award-winner quilter and a former museum curator. A member of the Modern Quilt Guild, Amy enjoys paper piecing and modern quilt design. She blogs at www.duringquiettime.com.
Position, position, position - fussy cutting mindfulness leads to
quilting with interesting motifs. Choosing fabric is paramount and
you can follow Amy's questions to ensure you select the best fabric
for the job. Sew a variety of projects given in the book to
practice Amy's piecing techniques. The projects are useful and
interesting. I particularly like the 'My Tribe' quilt but there are
also bags, pillows, an applique cardigan and more to make.
Templates are given at the back of the book, but are nor full-size,
so you will need to enlarge.

We live for fabric so we want to do each of our prints justice when
we use them in projects. Amy Friend’s new book, Intentional
Piecing, is focused solely on making those designs really shine.
From fussy cutting to FPP, she takes us through the best techniques
for each kind of fabric, teaching mindful project planning and best
print picking practice.
