Camika Spencer holds a B.S. in Broadcast Communications, M.A. in Playwriting, and an M.F.A in Creative Writing Education. He holds degrees from Paul Quinn College, Luther Rice Seminary, National University, and Fielding Graduate University. His work revolves around partnerships with literary arts and education organizations, which impact the state of Texas and the U.S. His writing appears in many literary journals and select readings are on youtube. He has one spoken word album, Spoken Pieces (2010), and his poetry collection, of stone and rope, was published in the fall of 2019. Currently, he is the chief editor for Iris Literary Journal. She is an avid reader of all things Historical Fiction, Ethnic-American Literature, Poetic, and YA. She is a member of the Alumni Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her work has been recognized by the Omicron Mu Omega Chapter of AKA, UTD, and the City of Grand Prairie.
