'It won't surprise you that we are big fans of the Isla & Pickle
stories that star a feisty wild ginger-haired little girl and her
adorably naughty Shetland pony... This is a delightful story about
friendship and enjoying life -- messy or not! The illustrations are
delightful and packed full of humour and you are bound to fall in
love with little Pickle and his loyal friend Isla. We love it!'

'[A] gorgeous story'

'Pickle is such an adorable character and we love the way that so
much of the humour in the story comes from Kate's fabulous
illustrations. Isla and Pickle are characters that children will
easily identify with and they share a strong bond. Isla & Pickle:
The Highland Show also introduced my daughter to the concept of
highland games and gave us a flavour of Scottish life -- we'd love
to have tartan wellies like Isla!'

'[A] lovely picture book for children... Children will enjoy the
bright, colourful illustrations and there are lots of details to
point out and talk about. The friendship between wee Isla and her
pony is clear to see and Pickle's antics will have young children
giggling away and wondering what he will get up to next. Pickle is
certainly a pony who is full of character. Whatever the outcome of
the competition, Isla knows that you don't have to be perfect to be
a winner! Isla & Pickle is a delightful book, with eye-catching
illustrations and is a lovely portrayal of friendship.'
