Reviews

Dr. Mohanty's book, Jihadism: Past and Present, is a welcome addition to an impressive body of literature on terrorism I discuss in my course on Political Anthropology offered at the University of California, Santa Cruz every year.  His book is packed with brilliant analysis, insightful historical perspectives, and a fresh overview of Jihadi movements in South Asia, in Middle East's Muslim nation-states, and in other regions of our world.  I have not seen such a thoughtful and thorough coverage of sensitive aspects of Salafi and Stealth Jihadism in any other study.
*Triloki Nath Pandey, emeritus professor, University of California*

“A much needed rebuttal of the politically-correct self-delusion regarding the global threat posed by militant Islam and its dogged quest for world domination."
*Efraim Karsh, King's College London & Bar-Ilan University*
