Erin grew up in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, the second eldest of seven children. She studied Communication at UTS, and wrote instruction manuals, advertising copy and personality profiles after graduation. She still works as Practice Manager alongside her husband in his accounting business and writes in her spare time. While her three sons were young, Erin worked in Childbirth Education, also studying homeopathy and then information technology. In 1995, an opportunity to teach communication and computer skills at TAFE led to a ten year position at Southern Cross University where she was on the cutting edge of technological changes, enjoying the challenge of keeping pace with the rapidly changing software. Erin also produced occupational health and safety manuals for various businesses and wrote tender documents for a variety of clients.
