Revealing an overlooked Australian artist who was at the heart of the Impressionist movement in France.
Wayne Tunnicliffe is head curator of Australian art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and curator of the John Russell exhibition. His previous publications include Pop to popsim (2014), The John Kaldor Family Collection (2012) and Contemporary (2006). Most recently he was curatorial advisor and essayist for Australia's Impressionists (2016) at the National Gallery, London, and co-curator and editor for The National: new Australian art (2017).
