James Munves, born in New York City in 1922, graduated from Loomis
Chaffee and Brown University, and served in WWII. He is the author
of a dozen books, including Andes Rising. He has three
daughters and four grandchildren. With his wife, Barbara, he grows
apples in Prince Edward Island, Canada. For more information see
